Personnel changes in the Eastern European equity funds management team at ERSTE-SPARINVEST

With effect from the beginning of May, ERSTE-SPARINVEST has restructured its equity fund management team for Central and Eastern European equity funds:

Manfred Zourek (40), who has managed the Turkish fund ESPA STOCK ISTANBUL for many years, is handing over his management mandates for the fund to Doris Stadler. Mr Zourek, whose equity fund has been amongst the top performers over the past few years, will continue to manage the ESPA STOCK VIENNA fund as well as taking on new responsibilities in the management of Austrian equity funds, including in the team responsible for the RT Österreich Aktienfonds [RT Austria equity fund] and the RT Zukunftsvorsorge Aktienfonds [RT old-age provision equity fund] offered by Ringturm KAG.

Doris Stadler (36) has been part of the ESPA equity team since August 2007. She has over 15 years’ experience in the investment sector. Before joining ERSTE-SPARINVEST, she was employed in fund management for a number of major Austrian investment companies and in the asset management department of a pension fund. Her current management mandates for the Eastern European equity fund ESPA STOCK EUROPE-EMERGING will be taken over by Amalia Ripfl (35), who has returned from maternity leave and who managed this fund from 2004 until February 2008 with great success. Ms Ripfl has worked in ESPA fund management for the past nine years, with responsibility for the Eastern Europe region.

Alexandre Dimitrov (40) has overall responsibility for the equity funds investing in Central and Eastern Europe. He heads a team of nine investment experts specialising in this growth region as well as the Middle East and Africa. Four of these specialists work from Vienna, with the others based in the region itself, in the countries where the Erste Asset Management Group has a presence.

Since 2009, ERSTE-SPARINVEST (fund volume EUR 28.2 billion) and Ringturm KAG (EUR 3.8 billion) have been part of Erste Asset Management GmbH (EAM), a 100% subsidiary of Erste Group Bank AG. All asset management and fund companies in Austria and Central and Eastern Europe that are active within the Group are consolidated in this structure.
