Feri EuroRating Awards 2010:
Two ESPA funds win in Germany and Austria
Bond fund management and an additional fund among the top nominees

To gain a significant advantage particularly in turbulent times, it helps to have funds in your portfolio that have displayed a very high calibre of performance and a high-quality management approach. The annual Feri EuroRating Awards are intended to assist investors in selecting funds that are appropriate for them.

This year, Feri once again identified the top funds in fourteen categories and conferred awards for the best asset managers. Two ERSTE-SPARINVEST funds walked away with top honours in their investment categories at the Feri EuroRating Awards 2010:
  • ESPA PORTFOLIO BOND (category: Bond Global Currencies)
  • ESPA VINIS STOCK GLOBAL (category: Equity Sustainability/Ethics World)
An additional fund was among the top 70 nominees out of over 8,000 investment funds approved for sale in Germany and Austria:
  • ESPA BOND EURO-TREND (category: Bond EUR)
ERSTE-SPARINVEST was also nominated as one of the top five asset managers in the Bond category. The selection of companies in this category only includes those who manage at least eight funds with a rating from Feri.

The Feri EuroRating Awards (www.feri-fund-awards.com) include both quantitative criteria, such as performance and volatility over the last twelve months, and qualitative aspects, such as the fund managers' experience and education, the portfolio structure and the investment process, in their ratings of potential nominees. The best five funds in each category are nominated for the EuroRating Awards. Prerequisites for participating in the awards include a minimum amount of funds under management and open access to private investors.

The awards ceremony for the Feri EuroRating Awards 2010 was held in Bad Homburg, Germany, on 24 November.
